Iris ID Systems hardware and software for iris recognition was selected in 2004 to be part of a comprehensive security solution deployed at 29 airports throughout Canada. Expansion through 2012 includes the newest generation technology. The solution is an integral part of the overall security measures installed. Iris templates are encoded onto smart cards for dual factor authentication. Employees present card and use IrisAccess Iris cameras and software to confirm a match. The system flexibility enables the solution to integrate with existing software and hardware. Over 200,000 employees have been enrolled through 2012 and 3 generations of IrisAccess technology are all compatible.
